Voluntary Cessation of Coverage

A member who wishes to cancel their PSHCP coverage must put their request in writing to their designated officer. Requests must be sent to the appropriate personnel or pension office, all of which are listed in the table below. Members may also use the Compensation Web Applications to cancel their PSHCP coverage if this service is available to them.

Deductions will cease no later than two months following the date notification was received by the designated officer. Coverage will continue for one month following the month that the last deduction was made. A retroactive cancellation cannot be authorised.

Please note that the PSHCP Administration Authority is not authorized to terminate PSHCP coverage and does not have access to member files. Likewise, we have no authority over matters relating to the Public Service Dental Care Plan or the Pensioners Dental Services Plan.
