This article was published before the transition to the new Plan Administrator, Canada Life. If you have any questions, contact the PSHCP Member Contact Centre at 1-855-415-4414 (toll-free anywhere in North America) or 1-431-489-4064 (call collect if you are outside North America).

Online claims submissions and other digital services for web as well as mobile will launch on April 1st, 2018. These services will enable Plan members residing in Canada to submit their most common health claims electronically, as well as review their claims history and their available coverage. This service will be available through the Sun Life’s Plan Member Services website at www.sunlife.ca/pshcp and the my Sun Life Mobile application.

Through the my Sun Life Mobile app, members will be able to submit photos of receipts for more complex medical expenses, provide supporting documentation requested by Sun Life, and access their benefit card at any time.

A Plan member will also be able to submit coordination of benefits claims, complete and update their positive enrolment information, sign up for direct deposit or update their banking information, as well as access health related resources through Sun Life’s Plan Member Services website.

Claims submitted electronically will be adjudicated immediately and, if approved, any reimbursement amount will usually be deposited directly into the member’s bank account within 24 to 48 hours. However, if the claim requires additional review or information, the processing time will be longer.

A number of services are already available to PSHCP members through Sun Life’s Plan Member Services website such as the Drug Look-Up feature that enables members to look up drug information including coverage, recent prescriptions, and possible alternatives or generics.

To benefit from these services once they are launched on April 1, 2018, you must register on Sun Life’s Plan Member Services website. Sun Life will require your email address and banking details so that you may submit claims electronically. If you are already registered, you must also provide this information to benefit from these services.

The my Sun Life Mobile application which will be launched for the PSHCP on April 1, 2018, is available for both iPhones and Android devices, and can be downloaded on the Apple Store and Google Play.
